The annual 10 hour ergathon was held on the waterfront on the on the 17th of October. Teams of six took it in turns to rack up the kilometres to raise funds towards the repair of the function centre roof and the ongoing earthquake strengthening. Again, the club men were determined not to be beaten, holding off a strong challenge from the St Pats boys. The final results can be found on RowIT here.
After 10 hours hard graft, the athletes rowed a total of 2,464 kilometres, or about here to Melbourne. The actual amount raised is still being calculated, but thanks to the 19 teams entered, we’re hoping for more than $5,000.
